Rocky Mountain National Park located outside of Estes Park, CO is huge and gorgeous. The east entrance takes you into the busier section of the park, but due to its large size, overcrowding it not a huge issue. Moraine Park visitor center is the headquarters for the Junior Ranger program where children can explore the park and earn their badges, and it also provides a host of information about local plants and wildlife. Bear Lake is located just down the road from Moraine Park Meadows; a 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot leads to a lake surrounded by mountains and serves as the trail head for many paths. RMNP is a perfect place for families and adventurers of all levels to explore and enjoy the Rocky Mountains.
