Bruneau Dunes State Park
Mountain Home, ID
Site details: Gravel pads and partial or full hookups (30/50 Amp) throughout, level sites, secluded and quiet
Pros: Beautiful scenery in an Idaho state park about 30 minutes from I-84, easy to navigate with a big rig
Cons: very expensive for a state park ($33.72/night for out-of-state visitors), no cell coverage
This park was a great place for an overnight stay while passing through Idaho. The sand dunes were very interesting, and provided for a good evening hike to get a view of the land. When we got to the park, the offices were closed, but there was a camp host in the RV park as well as a fee box next to the campground sign. Overall, we enjoyed this one-night stop and will keep this in mind if we pass through Idaho again.
