Annual Pond Skimming
Besides restaurants and shopping, Park City is home to downhill skiing and the annual Pond Skimming competition to celebrate the end of ski season. Take the ski lift to the top of the mountain to experience the celebration and comedy of the day.
Each year, competitors ski down a short slope into a 30-foot pond with water temperatures around 36 degrees Fahrenheit! Brrrrr!!! They are judged on costume, air time, distance, and overall style. This hilarious day is a must-see in Park City.
We played a few disc golf courses in Utah, including Rock Canyon Park in Provo, Utah. This course was a little difficult to find, but it was a blast once we got there! We got to enjoy a 3-mile hike while stopping to throw our discs and play with the pups. We had great views of Provo and the surrounding mountains as well!
We also played City Park in Salt Lake City. This course was CROWDED and had a weird layout – two of the holes crossed each other, so you had to watch out for other players standing directly in front of you! Not my favorite spot.
