Utah

Mountain Valley RV Resort
Heber City, Utah

Rating: 5/5
Site details: Level concrete pad with full hookups (30/50 Amp), cable TV connections, WiFi throughout the campground, and great amenities. Located between Hwy 40 and a new neighborhood development.
Pros: excellent staff, clean facilities, HEATED bathroom floors (very important in Utah winter!), great location at the edge of Heber
Cons: pricey, but not over the top ($40/night or $550/month – sites vary), expensive electricity ($175/month in winter), sites close together with little or no grass space between them

This was our home site for 2 months at the end of Utah winter 2017 (lots of snow!) and we loved it. Jake and Izzy loved playing with other dogs in the dog park at the front of the property. The manager, Cache, and the other staff were so helpful to us during our first time away from home in our RV, and the city of Heber was so fun! The valley has 360 degree mountain views, and was especially beautiful from the top of the RV (see picture above!) We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to go to Utah again.

Wasatch Mountain State Park
Heber City, Utah

Wasatch State Park

Rating: 4/5
Site details: Concrete pads with partial and full hookups (30/50 Amp), 3 RV camping loops, staggered sites with space between each site.
Pros: friendly rangers, amazing views, close to town for necessities
Cons: narrow and difficult to navigate with a big rig, a little hard to find from the entrance to the park

We stayed here at the beginning of autumn for a few days while we visited Utah and friends we had made earlier in the year. This park is so well kept and is full of great views, trees, and wildlife. We really enjoyed parking our home here for a few days and will definitely go back if we have the chance.
